Tornado offers a Multiplexer to monitor up to four or eight cultures in parallel with a single Tornado Raman Analyzer. The unit is fully integrated multiplexing functionality built into analyzer control software including independent configuration of each channel for maximum flexibility. This guarantees superior properties, wide flexibility for many applications and highest long-term reliability. The switches are available for broad wavelength ranges – from the visible to the infrared range – and with various fiber types. The optomechanical switch design are based on industry proven high resonant actuators ensures excellent optical performance combined with short switching time and exceptional reliability.

The Premium Raman Sample Chamber is designed In order to allow adjustable stages for movement in the XYZ axes and is fully adaptable to any Standard Optical Connector Assembling. Made to accommodates vials, cuvettes, beakers and various other sample presentation modes and includes detachable magnetic pillars to hold test samples in a fixed position on the sample platform. The Premium Raman Sample Chamber also accommodates the use of liquid or solid samples and can be operated vertically or horizontally.

Polystyrene Calibration Tool

The fiber coupled polystyrene calibration tool can be used instead of a probe to get a polystyrene spectrum for static laser calibration. It has a small tube with fiber optic connector at each end which plugs via standard collection and excitation fibers into a HyperFlux™ PRO Plus or Process Guardian™ Raman.

Tornado’s Hudson Bioreactor Raman Immersion Probe enhances the power of Raman in bioprocess manufacturing by measuring multiple component concentrations and critical quality attributes (CQAs) in real-time for continuous, around-the-clock process feedback. There are many applications for process Raman applications in the “upstream” domain which require precise quantitative information, and this probe provides excellent data in both the fingerprint and CH-stretch regions, facilitating these demanding requirements. Advanced Raman probes like this one provide a perfect illustration of how fiber optics can be joined with other optical components to obtain a simple and flexible measurement.

Tornado’s RamanBioConnect™ Raman Probe is a high-performance sampling device intended for Raman in-line process monitoring of liquid samples in a Sartorius Ambr™ or Biostat STR® system. Its optical design allows for a small size to avoid taking up valuable lab space. Along with Tornado’s HyperFlux™ PRO Plus analyzer, the RamanBioConnect™ probe measures key process parameters and critical metabolites (i.e. glucose, glutamate, lactate, and others), making it the ideal solution for monitoring bioprocesses and cell cultures.
Fibers
Fibers

We classify our optical fibers into two categories, Lab Grade and Process Grade.  Both fibers are ultra low OH fiber with black PVC monocoil outer tubing.  Our Lab Grade Fiber Bundle is made for use with the HyperFlux™ PRO Plus and we stock a choice of 2m or 5m lengths, custom lengths are also available with longer lead time.  The fibers have a standard FC/PC connector with ceramic ferrules at both ends.
